A. EZWxBrief stands for "Easy Weather Brief." It's your best online source for aviation weather & education.  Enjoy the simplicity of EZWxBrief!
A. AvWxWorkshops Inc is a privately-held firm headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina and is the sole owner of EZWxBrief. AvWxWorkshops is owned and operated by CFI and former NWS research meteorologist, Scott C. Dennstaedt.

A. EZWxBrief should only be used as supplemental guidance when making decisions associated with a flight and does not count as a formal weather briefing.
A. We want you to be completely happy with your EZWxBrief experience during this transition period. Please contact us and we will get back to you as quickly as possible to answer all of your questions.
A. No. However, we do provide 1-on-1 training where you can book a one hour session to review the weather along your proposed route. This is considered aviation ground training and should NOT be considered a standard weather briefing. To learn more and book a session that works in your schedule, please visit our training website.
A. No. However, you can register for a 14-day trial membership at no cost to you.
A. To determine when your membership expires, sign in to EZWxBrief and then tap or click on the Start button and then from the Quick Start menu select Manage my account. This user profile page will list the expiration date of your annual or trial membership. Additionally, you will be sent a reminder email to renew 30 days prior to your membership anniversary. Please check your spam folder as this email is automatically generated and frequently gets filtered.
A. Yes. When you register to become an EZWxBrief subscriber, you can choose to set your account to auto-renew. You can also go to your user profile page at any time to change your auto-renew setting. If you set your account to renew automatically at your membership anniversary, you will enjoy a $10 discount off the annual membership price. One week prior to your membership anniversary, a reminder email will be sent letting you know your account is set to renew.
A. You can use your personal or business PayPal account or pay by major credit card. We only accept MasterCard, Visa or Discover Card at the moment. We do not accept paper checks or bank/wire transfers.
A. No. If your account is set to renew automatically, you will enjoy an automatic savings of $10. Instead, you will likely want to use the "Tell Us What You Want To Pay" renewal option where you can set the price you want to pay for your annual membership.
A. No, we would simply use the same approach to enter your credit card as you would via our website.
A. No. Currently we do not offer gift certificates.
A. Some promotions have an expiration date or are limited by the number of uses. If you believe the promotion code is valid, please contact us and we'll be happy to look it up for you.
A. No. All sales are final. However, we want you to be a satisfied customer. If you are not happy with EZWxBrief, please contact us to see how we can help.
A. No. Premium workshops are no longer available on CD-ROM or DVD. You can only purchase them for online viewing. We currently do not allow you to download any online workshops. You will need an Internet connection to view them.
A. No. However, if you are not a member you will need to register for a free trial before purchasing a premium workshop. Even if your trial expires, you will still be able to sign in and have 24/7 access to the premium workshop you purchased.
A. Yes. Purchasing a premium workshop for online viewing entitles you to sign in to your EZWxBrief account and view this workshop even after your membership expires.
A. Yes. All basic and most premium workshops are developed in HTML5 and will play on portable devices such as an iPad or iPhone.
A. Yes. Purchasing any premium workshop for online viewing provides 24/7 access to the workshop; you can view it as little or as often as you'd like. In fact, if there is an update to the premium workshop, you will get this for FREE when you purchase the workshop. Even more, if your annual or trial membership expires, you will still be able to sign in and view any premium workshop you have previously purchased.
A. Yes. All of the workshops you own were transferred to your EZWxBrief account. If you believe you do not have access to a premium workshop, please feel free to contact us.
A. Most likely you have your sound muted. On older style iPads there is a manual slider switch. If you move that switch to the other setting you'll get sound. Otherwise, for the newer iPad, swipe down from the upper-right corner to open Control Center (like you do to turn on the flashlight app). You will see a bell icon. Make sure the bell shows as white. If it is red with a line through it, it means your sound for these workshops is muted. Tap on that bell to turn it white and sound will now play. On a laptop or desktop computer (Windows or Mac) you can often restore the sound by pausing the workshop and then resume play.
A. Your username is always the email address you used when you registered as a member. To reset your password, simply go to the sign in screen and click on the Forgot my password link. An email will be sent to you shortly with instructions on how to reset your password (please check your spam folder). If you are not sure of the email address you used when you joined or forgot your password, you can always reach out to our support team here. We'd be happy to help get you into your account.
A. Yes. The first page of the Pilots Guide has a link to a version with a white background.
A. No. At this time, we do not provide a native app. However, EZWxBrief is designed to run as a progressive web application (PWA) on all devices and will look and feel just like any native app.
A. Yes. It is available for routes in southern Canada, northern Mexico and part of the Caribbean. We will eventually be adding support for northern Canada, southern Mexico and Alaska.
A. If you own an portable Apple device (e.g. iPad or iPhone), progressive web app (PWA) installation is supported by Safari only. For MacBook and iMac devices, Please note: PWA installation is supported by Google Chrome only at this time on the MacBook or iMac devices. Start the Safari browser on your portable device and enter https://ezwxbrief.com in the Safari address bar. You do not need to be signed in to your EZWxBrief account. For the iPad, in the upper-right corner, tap on the “Send To” button (on the iPhone, the Send To button is located at the bottom of the Safari browser window).Select the Add to Home Screen option from the Send To menu.
